Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? A lot of people who are down in life simply aren’t motivated. They go about their days without doing one productive thing. Instead they distract themselves with Instagram, Netflix and Video Games. While motivation isn’t always the primary cause, it can be the temporary fix. You can change, and all it takes is a little inspiration.
Motivation will help improve your productivity and generate a better set of results. In the end, it can really help us have a new and more positive perspective on life as a whole. With that in mind, we have created a list of ideas that will help you become the best version of yourself and generate amazing results in the long run!
These are in no specific order.
1. Don’t wait to feel motivated before you start
Whenever you start something new, be it a project, relationship and so on, you shouldn’t wait for motivation to come. You have to find it, and there are many places/things that can motivate you, just know yourself and trust your instincts.
2. Set easy goals at the beginning
Simple goals always make each task faster to complete, and in the end this can really pay off. All you need to do is to make sure that you set your goals properly right off the bat.
If your goal is to lose 50 pounds, set a goal of losing 5 pounds in the first two weeks. After you lose the 5 lbs, set another goal. With each success you’ll feel even more satisfied with your progress.
3. Tell people about your goals
Telling others about your goals will provide more pressure on you to actually complete these goals and take them to the next level. You need to share your ideas with others so you can be held accountable for your actions. You’ll slowly start to view yourself as someone who is working towards something they want.
4. Write down your goals and track them in a journal
You should always keep a journal that tracks your progress because this will increase your motivation. You will know that success is just a few steps away. I kept a journal for one of my diets, and it helped me in so many ways even outside of fitness.
5. Work toward your goal everyday. No breaks.
If you really want to achieve something, then taking breaks will just stand between you and your goal. This is a mandatory thing to do if you really want success.
And if you want something bad enough in life, there is only one question you should ask yourself…”How will I work towards my goal today?”
6. Celebrate from time to time
Each milestone needs to be celebrated because it gives you a major confidence boost. In time it will facilitate greater results, keep that in mind.
7. Make yourself work even when you don’t feel like it.
Procrastination is the main enemy here, so you have to fight it by imposing work on yourself even if you don’t feel like it. No one likes to do things they don’t want to do. But sometimes, forcing yourself to just open a book and read one page will jump start your journey.
8. Don’t do all the fun stuff first
If there’s one thing to keep in mind, that would be to always leave the fun stuff at the end and start with the hardest things to do. This can really help you take the experience to new heights and the outcome will be well worth it.
9. Eat healthier
A healthy diet provides you more energy to get things done. You feel better about yourself and also feel more motivated. Stay away from the processed or fast foods, and instead focus on quality food that will bring nutrients and other necessary vitamins into your body.
10. Learn to love your routine
Not only do you need to create a routine, but you should stick with it the best way you can. Knowing, following and understanding your routine is mandatory if you want to stay motivated.
11. Understand that you won’t accomplish your goals overnight
No matter what goal you might have, there’s no denying that everything you want to do takes time. So never be too hard on yourself and make sure that you understand how much time it takes to complete the task.
12. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep
For those of you that are really passionate, you will be so concentrated on productivity that you will rarely sleep. However, sleeping is essential if you want to keep your body and mind fresh, so don’t hesitate and sleep as much as you feel your body needs, because you need to be rested.
Then there of those of you who aren’t as motivated and tend to stay up late drinking or watching TV. Try to cut back on those things if they are negatively affecting your sleep. I’ve clearly noticed that I do my best work after a restful night of sleep. My worst writing is usually after a night of heavy drinking.
13. Learn to love competition
You should never ignore your competitors. Learn to love the competition, use them as an inspiration to keep on going. I personally thrive on competition, and it’s one of my primary sources of motivation in all areas of my life.
If you have a business, be professional and do all you can to keep yourself floating, without copying or stealing from other brands. Make your own brand better than the rest.
These keys to motivation are ones you need to keep in mind if you want success.
Make sure that you do all you can in order to integrate these ideas into your daily endeavors, and rest assured that the outcome will be well worth it!
