Protein Powder is another huge part of the supplement industry that companies have capitalized on. They’ll sell you any chocolate powder claiming its better than the next brand.
It doesn’t matter what specific type of protein powder you get for building muscle.
Instead you need to focus on quality, taste and price.
In fact, you don’t even need protein powder to build muscle. As I said my other article (Building Muscle for Beginners), you need a calorie surplus, good training and consistency to build muscle.
However, protein powder is a supplement, and supplements are there to help you, and your diet. If you don’t feel like getting all your protein from chicken and tuna, then protein powder can be a tasty solution to the problem
Additionally, protein is more convenient than cooking meat or eggs. It only takes a minute or two to shake up some protein, compared to 15 minutes to cook up a chicken breast.
It will help you get your macros easier if you do IFFYM.

I’d recommend finding a good tasting protein powder with good quality. Many supplement companies have been caught spiking their protein with cheap amino acids in place of actual protein. They do this because it’s cheaper than whey protein and they get a bigger profit.
Words of Advice: Don’t buy your protein from some store like Walmart. People go to Walmart to get good deals and get cheap stuff, and you’ll end up with cheap protein as a result
I’ve always had a protein supplement throughout the years, and here are my two favorite Protein Powders. These aren’t the only 2 good options out there but I only recommend products that really get the job done. Also if you don’t have the money to buy protein its no big deal, you’ll be fine eating normal food too.

1. Syntha 6
Syntha-6 is my favorite simply because it is the best tasting protein powder I’ve ever come across. The strawberry flavor is a fan favorite and it is definitely amazing. It is a great quality product that I have in my kitchen at the moment.
2. Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey
ON Products are the best on the market and this specific whey protein is the most popular in the industry. I haven’t met any serious fitness competitors who have never bought a tub of this. ON is always known for their great quality and consistency with their products. I personally like Cookies & Cream and Mocha Cappuccino but there the other flavors are great too.
