Why You Shouldn’t Eat Cheat Meals

When you finally lose weight, you’ll feel like a free man.

You’ll still have to watch what you eat a little bit, but you won’t have to dedicate so much time and effort into dieting like you used to.

You’ll even be able to have a cheat meal every now and then.

But for those of you with a lot of fat left to lose, cheat meals will only set you back in time.

Dieting and weight loss can be rough for most people. Whether you feel hungry all the time or have less energy, it will take a toll on you.

As a former fat kid and teen, I understand.

Then there are some people who feel fine on their diets, but they still crave that cheeseburger and fries.

This is how I failed on some of my past diets.

I would feel great when I saw the scale finally go down.

I would be super motivated to push forward, but some part of me wanted to sabotage my hard work and give in to cheating. And maybe half of the time I ended up giving up and just cheating on my diet.

I would get fast food and tell myself, “It’s only one day, I’ll diet tomorrow.” Rationalizing my cheating like that only set me up to fail.

I would be down 3 pounds on the scale one week, and the cheat meal on the weekend sent me back up 3 pounds.

Because I decided to have a cheat meal, I completely halted my progress.

And when I say cheat meal, I mean it. I would eat 3 or 4 cheeseburgers, fries and soda. It was more like I was binge eating than having a normal cheat meal.

And I had no one else to blame but myself. I could try and say that my friends or family encouraged me to cheat, but the reality is that nobody was forcing me to eat those foods.

Only I could make that decision.

Once I decided to cut out all the bullshit and say “NO” to cheat meals, I started seeing more progress.

I lost more weight in a month from no cheat meals, than in three months of dieting with a cheat meal once a week.

If you’re serious about your weight loss, you won’t even consider cheating anymore.

Forget about the present moment, and think about how you’ll look tomorrow if you skip the ice cream and cookies.

You might feel good for a few minutes when you’re eating it, but you’ll feel like shit after.

If you truly want success, cut out the bullshit and take control of your diet. Starting now.
